Samantha Mohr

Mohr was an UGA student and entered her first pageant following being suggested by a friend. Mohr was crowned Miss Columbus 1985. Mohr became eligible to compete in her first Miss Georgia pageant, which began in June. Mohr won the contest on Saturday, June 22, 1985. More than $3,500 was awarded Mohr with a scholarship along with other awards. Her title was Miss Georgia as well as made public appearances all over Georgia as part of her duty. Mohr took part as Miss Georgia in Miss America 1986 in Atlantic City (New Jersey) in September 1985. Mohr was able to predict that Susan Akin would win Miss America by computer modeling. The odds of winning were 22:1. Mohr didn't make the cut as a top-10 contender for the crown of Miss America. Mohr's reign as Miss Georgia lasted until she crowned her successor, Marlesa Ball, Miss Georgia 1986 on June 28th, 1986. Samantha Samantha Samantha
